Zagarolo, ancient setting dating back from the Roman times, and located at the bottom of Monti Prenestini mountains, is a town of great archeologic interest. In the historic centre, don't miss to visit churches of 16th century and splendid buildings such as Palazzo Rospigliosi that belonged to Colonna princes, and house of Caravaggio, when he painted la Cena di Emmaus.

Don't miss to visit the nearby Palestrina, far away 3.8 miles/6 km and rich in art, history, tradition and spirituality, Terme delle Acque Albule thermal resort, Tivoli with Villa d'Este and its marvellous fountains, and Villa Adriana with its Roman vestiges or the famous Castelli Romani.

By car
From the north: from the Roma-Napoli Motorway, exit at San Cesaeo and proceed along the SS6 Casilina until you reach the Zagarolo Palestrina junction on your left. Head in that direction for approximately 4 km until you reach the Zagarolo junction on your left. Go left again after 300 metres, head downhill then uphill. Enter the first gate on your left at street number 71. Total distance from the motorway exit: 9 km.

From the south: from the Napoli-Roma Motorway, exit at Valmontone and take the SS6 Casilina toward Rom until you reach the Zagarolo Palestrina junction on your right. Head right and continue for approximately 4 km until you reach the Zagarolo junction on your left. Go left again after 300 metres, head downhill then uphill. Enter the first gate on your left at street number 71. Total distance from the motorway exit: 13 km.
