gîte rural - extérieur Immersed in the green, the Farmhome Casa al Bosco, is located in Volterra in the heart of Tuscany, surrounded by a beautiful landscape of a natural reserve, where many species of savage animals, like pheasants, hares, wild boars and deers live undisturbed.

Situated on the top of a hill, in a very quiet position you can observe one of the most beautiful city of arts in Italy: Volterra, which still conserves all the charm of an old Etruscan city.

This old farmhome of the end of the nineteenth century, recently restored, features four apartments for our guests: Federico (8 places + 2), Roberto (4 places + 2), Granaio (6 places + 2) and Cipresso (4 places).

The whole farmhome lies on a surface of 155 hectares between olive trees and wood.

Our very appreciated products are cultivated and produced inside the farm: olive oil, fruits and vegetables, cultivated with traditional and natural methods which the genuine agriculture demands.

The property also boast of a big swimming pool, a restaurant and a bar as well as all the services which makes your stay as comfortable and relaxing as you desire. You will be well welcome by the owners always at your disposal for any kind of need, whenever you want.

COMMENT ARRIVER À L'HÔTEL

By car
From Bologna-Firenze:
when you arrive in Florence, exit at Firenze-Certosa and take the connecting speedway towards Siena; exit at Poggibonsi-Nord and follow the signs for San Gimignano. Stay on the main street and pass through San Gimignano. Exit from San Gimignano then follow the indications to Gambassi Terme and turn left. After some kilometres you will find the indications to Volterra (on the left): ignore this indication and follow the direction for Castelfiorentino. After approximately 3 kilometres arrive in a big road road. Turn left and after 400-500 metres you will find a crossroad where a dirt raod starts in the direction of Mommialla. (Please note: when you come from Siena you cannot see the indication to Mommialla. You can only see it, as soon as you turn left on the dirt road, because it is only readable coming from the opposite side). Proceed for approx. 3,5 kilometres, you will cross the first bridge on ythe left. The street becomes steep and proceed for about 4 kilometres until you can see our Farmhome on your right.

From Genova-La Spezia:
exit at Pisa aeroporto and follow the S.G.C. Speedway in the direction of Firenze. Exit at Pontedera-Ponsacco and follow the indications to Capannoli and Volterra. After some kilometres drive through a village called La Sterza and turn left in direction of Volterra. About 10 kilometres before Volterra you will find on your left hand side a petrol station and a restaurant in Molino d'Era, stay on the main street and follow the sign for Colle Val d'Elsa and cross a bridge. After the crossroad, turn right. After 2 kilometres follow the signs for Cozzano. Proceed and after a couple of kilometres the street become dirt. After others 3 kilometres you will find the Farmhome on your left hand side, reacheable by a short private street.

From Roma-Siena:
Exit at Val di Chiana and in the direction of Siena. Follow the signs to Firenze and arrive on the four lanes highway. Exit at Colle Val d'Elsa and follow the signs to Volterra. Stay on the main street and, after passing the crossroad mazzolla, you will find another crossroad. Turn right in the direction of Pontedera-Pisa. After approx. 4 kilometres you arrive in another crossroad with, on your left, the indications to Volterra and Cozzano-Sensano on your right. Turn right and from here, follow the signs for the Farmhome.
