The Express by Holiday Inn Edinburgh City Centre Hotel is a convenient Edinburgh city centre hotel opposite Edinburgh Playhouse Theatre and within walking distance of Princes Street, the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle. Being situated in the heart of Edinburgh, the hotel is near to all of the venues of the Edinburgh International Festival and is easily reachable from Edinburgh airport. Many shops and restaurants are also in the vicinity.

The Express by Holiday Inn Edinburgh City Centre Hotel, although a listed Georgian Building, was opened as recently as 2004. Therefore, its new accommodation and superb location are very attractive to tourists and visitors to the Edinburgh festival, fringe and the Tattoo. Guests can also bring their pets with them, provided that they are suitably house trained.

The hotel's pub with a big-screen TV provides guests with an inviting alternative to the center's many restaurants and pubs. There is also an ironing room on the 4th floor at guests' disposal. Business people can also keep in touch with the office, thanks to the 2 computers in the business center. Business guests will also appreciate the fax, copy and meeting services, which make this very versatile hotel indeed.

As well as offering the latest in in-room entertainment, there is also ample storage space and a writing desk for working on. A direct dial phone, free coffee and tea making facilities, hairdryer, heating are all standard too.

COMMENT ARRIVER À L'HÔTEL

By airplane
From Edinburgh Airport: take bus number 100 from the airport to Waverley Bridge, in front of Waverley railway station. From here, walk to the east end of Princes Street and then left on to Leith Street. The hotel is located beyond Picardy Place roundabout, on the right-hand side of the Hertz-Rent-A-Car shop and opposite the Edinburgh Playhouse Theatre.

There are 12 car parking spaces on the premises, although they are subject to availability.

Guests may also use the NCP Greenside Car Park, located on Greenside Row, just off Leith Street. The hotel offers a 20% discount on parking charges at the NCP Greenside Car Park when guests bring their ticket from the NCP Greenside Car Park to the hotel Reception. Alternative parking solutions are also found under the Omni Centre (the glass building opposite the hotel). Guests are not advised to leave their vehicles unattended in Picardy Place, as this is for residents only.
