White Sands Hotel is located on the panoramic north coast of Dublin Bay overlooking the beautiful sandy beach of Portmarnock Strand. The hotel comprises of 58 Bedrooms, lively Irish Bar, The Mad Fish Restaurant, Conference & Banqueting facilities and the renowned Tamango Nightclub.

All 58 bedrooms some with spectacular seaviews are superbly furnished and provide the amenities expected by today’s discerning guest. Our executive rooms offer a contemporary and modern feel while our standard seaview rooms offer an old-world elegance. All rooms have multi channel TV, hairdryer, trouser press, direct dial telephone and guest complimentary tray. Some rooms including our executive suites feature Jacuzzi bath, safe, air-conditioning and internet access.

Bus and Train close by to allow easy access to Dublin City Centre.
Malahide and Howth are 5 minutes away and offer a selection of shops and restaurants to suit every taste as well as scenic walks by the Marinas to watch the fishing boats and yachts cruise by.
The Oasis Bar, a warm and inviting lively bar offers various types of musical entertainment on selected nights. A carvery lunch is served daily to 3pm offering quality fresh food at affordable prices. Bar Food is available from 3pm to 9.30pm every evening. The bar has proved to be an ideal venue for smaller type parties where an area can be reserved in advance.

For sheer relaxation, luxury surroundings and some tantalising dishes to whet your appetite you can dine in the newly refurbished Mad Fish Restaurant. Our award winning chefs can offer a selection of dishes with the emphasis on fresh seafood. The Restaurant is open Tuesday to Saturday from 6pm to 9.30pm . The Mad Fish Restaurant can be privately reserved for larger parties to suit any occasion.

By car
Direction from Dublin City Centre to White Sands Hotel

Cross the River Liffey over O’Connell Bridge - from Westmoreland St. onto the North Quays (signposted
R802)
Drive down the quays for take a left onto Beresford Place R 105 under the bridge. At Y junction take a left onto Amien Street R105 (signposted Malahide, Howth, Fairview)
Drive straight ahead at junction 73 continue forward onto the North Strand R105
At traffic signals continue forward onto the Clontarf Road for 5 miles (signposted Portmarnock, Howth)
Take a left turn for Baldoyle at the sign for Portmarnock/Baldoyle
Drive over the dart tracks and drive through Baldoyle (the church is on right hand side) and straight towards Portmarnock
Drive through Portmarnock Village and continue along the coast road for approx 2 miles. Hotel is located opposite the beach on the left hand side

By train
Take a DART train from ant City Centre Train Station for example Tara Street and get off in Malahide Train Station. Take a 102 bus to Portmarnock. We are located directly opposite Portmarnock Beach and a 5 minute journey from Malahide.

By airplane
From Dublin Airport. Take Swords exit. Drive through the double rounabout towards Swords. Go straight through next 2 roundabouts and at 3rd rounabout (Malahide Road route) turn left. Continue through next roundabout to T junction. Turn left and continue through Malahide Village and along the coastal road. We are approx 1 mile on the right hand side facing Portmarnock Beach.

By public transportation
No 32 bus will take you directly past the hotel and is approx 25 minutes jouurney form the City Centre along a coastal route.
